Alford is a charming market town in Lincolnshire. It is set at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty about 11 miles north-west of Skegness. There is a wide range of shops including a grocers and two butchers as well as a large shop which specialises in dolls houses and their contents. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. The main market is held in the Market Place every Tuesday and Friday with the craft market being held every August as well as Christmas markets every year.
