Aside from its many hiking and biking paths (for which you can rent bikes in nearby Rhayader), the Elan Valley also features a visitor centre with a café and a playground for kids. Due to the incredible range of accessible nature reserves, this region is often referred to as "the Wildlife Centre of Wales." Pony rides can also be arranged in the region. In Builth Wells, you may celebrate the Spring Festival, see the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, and enjoy the Winter Fair. The Welsh shore is about 34 miles away and may be reached via a picturesque drive.
