  • "We loved our stay at Thorsvik House."

The house itself is spacious and has everything you need. What made it for us were the views from the veranda/balcony. We have stayed in Scotland several times now, but the views from Thorsvik are by far the best we have ever seen. You have a superb view of Loch Eishort and if you are lucky you will see dolphins and Minke Whales; you also have a perfect view of the Cuillin Hills. We also saw deer around the area. The sunsets on a good summers days are spectacular. The property is rural and quite remote which is just what we wanted. The nearest shop is the Co-op in Broadford which is about a 35 minute drive. As usual in Scotland, the lanes are narrow reaching the property, but we loved this! A walk to the ruined castle in Tokavaig is really worth it. Access is very difficult, but the views from outside the castle are amazing. It's a place we would visit again. Thank you so much!

Occupying a stunning location with magnificent views, this spacious wooden cottage is set in the pretty hamlet of Tokavaig on the west side of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye.

Approached by a private road, this detached cottage has lovely features such as the high wooden vaulted ceilings and cathedral windows to allow for full appreciation of this fabulous location.

This Skye cottage is ideally suited to a family or group of friends who really want to savour the tranquillity and peace of the island and spend time surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

This single-storey cottage has three bedrooms - two double rooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and a twin room, as well as a main bathroom.

The delightful sitting area boasts large arched windows looking out to the sea, high ceilings, a decorative woodburner and comfy furnishings.

The kitchen and dining area offer French doors, which open out onto a balcony and again take full advantage of the views, making it an excellent place to sit and enjoy breakfast.

The village of Armadale is some 10 miles to the south of this Sleat cottage and has a hotel, lively pub and a village shop, plus 15 miles away is Broadford - Skye's second largest village.

The area of Sleat is known as the Garden of Skye due to its abundance of flora and fauna making it very popular during the summer.

There is so much to see and do on the Isle of Skye.

The island has great restaurants, excellent local crafts, quiet beaches and mountains, but whatever you do decide to do, you will love to return to the tranquillity and comfort of this welcoming cottage.
