  • "It is a lovely, clean, and well-equipped apartment in a truly peaceful and picturesque area."

The owners are welcoming but not intrusive, on hand if there are any issues, not that we had any. We enjoyed our refreshing break at the Lynhay so much we intend to return fairly soon. Thank you D &D

Your home away from home

At the end of a private drive on a smallholding in a hidden Dartmoor valley is The Linhay.

This very comfortable apartment has direct access to the moor and great views towards Brentor church and Dartmoor's highest tors.

Inside is bright, modern and easy.

Fifteen steps lead to the entrance via big French windows to the open-plan living area where you can sit in front of the wood burner, on a comfortable sofa and admire the views of the moor and valley.

The very pretty double bedroom has a king-size bed adjoins a lavish bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower.

You're welcome to wander the surrounding 20 acres of field, woodland and lakes, and there's a small enclosed patio garden with furniture for your own private use.

The Linhay is a really great base within easy reach of the most dramatic Dartmoor tors.

1½ miles from Lydford, with its spectacular gorge and 3 miles from Brentor, the scenery here is breathtaking.

For the sporty among you, you can walk or cycle along the Granite Way, or Roadford Lake offers an array of water sports.

For a more relaxed turn of pace the beaches of south Devon are within a 30 minute drive.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
