"We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet location of the cottage – it’s in a lovely setting that made for a relaxing break."

The hot tub and patio area were definite highlights and provided a great space to unwind. That said, the property itself felt quite basic, particularly in terms of the kitchen setup. A few more pans and essentials like foil, kitchen roll, or access to a mop and hoover would have been useful, especially after days out at the beach. While the property was generally tidy, the level of cleanliness didn’t quite meet the standard I’ve experienced at other dog-friendly accommodations. Areas like the stairs and carpets (both downstairs and upstairs) appeared not to have been hoovered, and some drawers in the kitchen and bedroom could have been cleaner. The bed was also uncomfortable on one side, as it felt like the springs had gone, and the mattress protector would benefit from a proper clean. Overall, it’s a decent place in a beautiful location, but with a bit more attention to detail and better equipment, it could offer a much more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
