  • "The lodge is in a peaceful location but only a short drive from the centre of Bowness on Windermere and Ambleside."

The lodge had good facilities and was nicely decorated inside and very clean. We enjoyed using the hot tub, which was ready to use on arrival. The only fault we could find was that the lodge looked a bit tired on the outside because paint was peeling off in places and the addition of a gazebo over the hot tub would have been useful when it was raining.

Thank you for the lovely review, and I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. We are the lodge owners, and have noted your comments regarding the outside of the lodge. We are aware, however any attempts we have made to remedy the situation has been thwarted by the weather. We do our best to keep the lodge up to date…the hot tub is brand new this season. Rest assured we are trying to address the matter as we use the lodge ourselves and can see the areas that require a bit of TLC. Weather permitting, it will be repainted soon. I’m glad the condition of the paint on the outside of the lodge didn’t detract from the enjoyment of your holiday too much. Thank you for staying with us! Property Owner
