"Button on washing machines is still broken."
You have to press in different places to get it to work.everything else is prefect.walk to beach is easy going down but very steep coming back up,you also need a torch if coming back late.the garden is very big great for the dogs.we loved it will be coming back.

"Wine cooler didn't work, beds very uncomfortable."
You left notes to say clean the BBQ, I had to clean it before we could use it.
There was a spillage under the microwave which hadn't been cleaned, and we had to wipe the fridge over before we put food in it.
Every time you had a shower in the bathroom, we would have to wipe the floor over.
It would have been nice to have a shower outside to rinse our wetsuits under. Maybe the outside toilet would have been nice if it worked.
For how many people are allowed in the house, it would be nice to have another toilet.

"The property was very clean."
The mattresses on the single beds were very uncomfortable we had to go and buy a mattress topper and also the double mattress was not very comfy. Someone had left the bbq in a dirty state and it had gone rusty so we had to buy disposable ones. The garden was lovely which the children thoroughly enjoyed except there was no swing or slide which said they had. The wooden patio on the lower garden was rotten. It would be nice to have some garden chairs to sit on up in the top garden and the start button on the washing machine takes a long time to get it to start.
Lastly there was only one tee towel and no hand towels in the kitchen or bathrooms but our stay was very enjoyable and so quiet it was lovely and can't wait to go back and the children loved the garden

"Great location as close to the beach (approx 15 min walk)."
Very comfortable beds and the furniture included sun loungers, which is a must as far as I am concerned. We had a heatwave during our stay so the lined curtains kept the heat out when needed. The kitchen wanted for nothing and the welcome pack was a nice touch. I loved the fact that this property does recycling and all the bags were provided for this This was a great place to relax and the wildlife, in the huge garden, were a joy to photograph. We walked to the Bedruthan Steps along the coastal path which is close to the Lodge, just across the road and down a private road. My only constructive criticism is that the Information pack in the house is out of date. Lots of construction and re naming of properties in Mawgan Porth mean that the walk instructions are confusing. We know Mawgan Porth well so knew where to go. Just an update on the walking instructions is all that is needed. It would be helpful too if the Smart TV could be set up for the free BBC i player, ITVX etc. We were surprised to see a static mobile home in the front garden which luckily was not being used! But was worried for a minute!! We loved Seaport Lodge.

"Lovely property , very clean on arrival with a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area along with the welcome addition of a bbq area to use outside on the warmer evenings."
It’s a very comfortable home to relax in and socialise in with nice views of the sea at the front and surrounded by fields to the rear. Enjoyed our daily strolls to the beach (10 mins away ) and walking the dogs along the footpaths. Made a great base for the family and we would definitely recommend and return. Thank you for the welcome pack which was a nice surprise after our journey down.

"Most of the boxed games in the property had instructions or playing pieces missing and there were no children's play items in the garden (not that it mattered to us)."
Welcome pack of budget scones and only 3 catering pots of jam looked a little skinny for the price paid
Otherwise very spacious and comfortable with good access to walks and the beach at mid to low tide, otherwise a slightly longer walk into the village. Large garden was good for the dog as was the fact it is tucked away from the road.

"Excellent facilities, especially the different types of kitchen utensils."
Clear instructions provided for our stay. Could point out the the television is a bit old (not that we watched it much!) & the lounge chairs & sofa are a bit low for older visitors. Other than that, a great place to stay for a large family group. The grandchildren loved the garden.

"We had a fabulous time at seaport lodge, stayed with my husband, daughter, son in law and grandson, we had plenty of room, lovely well equipped kitchen , lovely and clean , and my grandson loved the garden and play area."
The owners leave a brilliant information pack too. At one point I needed to ask for assistance in a personal matter and Julie and Guy were amazing in helping us . We loved it and will definitely be returning and recommending to others. It was very comfortable for all of us , mawgan porth is a beautiful area and well located to visit the surrounding areas for sightseeing.
Fabulous holiday, and Seaport Lodge comes highly recommended.

"Generally we had a lovely time."
This is a lovely property with a stunning garden and in a fabulous location, with great views. It is well appointed and we found it very helpful to have an additional fridge freezer in the utility area. There was also a very helpful folder of information in the property. We were so lucky with the weather that we didn't need to use the fire (but it looked lovely) and didn't even switch on the lovely big TV. If weather is less good there are a nice selection of games and books in the property too.
The problem for our party was that despite the property being listed as all ground floor, what isn't mentioned is that for every doorway into the bungalow there are steps (some quite steep). I have mobility difficulties so it meant I needed help in and out of the bungalow every time, which wasn't great, and the 10 minute walk to the beach is down a steep and uneven path, ending with steps I couldn't manage.
This is in no way a criticism of the property, but the listing should really make these things clear.

"The cottage was great and we had everything we needed."
Ie. Very accommodating for our little boy with high chairs etc. And the beds were particularly comfortable. Our only criticism would be.. clearer instructions about how to use the bins. (This was tucked away in the cupboard) and we felt although the property was clean on the surface it hadn’t been deep cleaned (under sofa etc.) Bearing in mind we loose virtually a day of holiday for ‘covid cleaning’ we thought the standard would be higher. Also maybe some general maintenance of the garden, patio area

"Sykes were impossible to get hold of after many failed attempts I gave up."
The beds were not very comfortable and the slats under one of the single beds kept falling out. The toilet seat was lose in the bathroom and the shower curtain out dated and not very effective so let water all over the floor. There were not enough towels so we had to wash them often.
The boiler stopped working on the last night so no hot water and it was not clear who to call.
The rubbish collection notice in the kitchen said Friday and we later discovered the house folder said Tuesday so that wasn't clear at all.
The rug in the ensuite room had really unpleasant odour and the curtains were very sheer so let all the light in.
The house is in a lovely position however and the garden is superb. The living room if very comfortable with lovely views out to sea and kitchen is quite new I think and very well equipped. There is a great dining area too and on this basis I would recommend the house but hope the owners take the feedback in the spirit in which is meant which is constructive, because it could be so much better with a few small improvements.

"Stayed at Seaport Lodge with extended family for a short break."
Facilities exceeded expectations with everything we needed for the whole family and 11 month old baby. Wonderful views and glorious garden with spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation. The facilities and beach down the hill at Mawgan Porth were excellent. We would highly recommend Seaport Lodge!

"Seaport Lodge is a wonderful and spacious house, with a beautiful big garden and lovely views."
We’ve stayed in different houses in Mawgan Porth over the years and so know the area well - this house is situated in a very quiet area with few neighbours and surrounded in 3 sides by farmland, it is also only a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and 15-20 minute walk to Mawgan Porth shops ( 10 mins walk across the beach ) so very accessible and easy to get around by foot. The house is very well stocked, especially for families with young children, and we found we had everything we needed. Lovely gesture of tea, scones, jam and clotted cream as a welcome gift. We were 7 people, 2 adults and 5 teenagers and the kitchen and living room were plenty spacious enough for us. If you are tall or have tall children please note that the bunks and the twin beds all have base boards. We would definitely stay there again.

The property
Seaport Lodge is tucked away in a quiet corner in the hamlet of Trenance on the edge of the village, the house backs onto farmland yet there are sparkling sea views from almost all of the rooms.
This stone-built bungalow is spacious and ideal for a family or a group of friends.
The living room has a 52 inch Samsung Smart TV and wood burning stove plus comfortable sofas to enjoy the sea views.
The kitchen is well equipped and has a dining area perfect for sitting around and planning the next day's adventure.

It is a 10 minute walk down hill to Mawgan Porth sandy beach, although longer coming back.

Lifeguarded from April to September there is a good beach hire shop and surf school.
There is also a pub/restaurant, cafe, a beach shop and a farm shop just above the beach.
Seaport Lodge is within easy reach of other north coast beaches and many scenic attractions that Cornwall has to offer a perfect holiday destination.
