  • "There were five adults staying for a week."

The accommodation was perfect for us. There were a few minor niggles but all in all very good. I will list the niggles: We would have appreciated cleaning materials so we could clean the hob, sink etc. also scouters, dishcloths would have been useful The shower hose was too short to be mounted on the bath tap. This led to it spraying out of the bath. I was concerned that the smoke alarms were working as they didn’t go off when we burnt the toast! My bed didn’t have a mattress protector so when I stripped it I could see old stains. I wouldn’t have known if there was a protector. Positive points: Good size lounge Great location Owner responded very quickly when we had a parking issue Good local parking options Good broadband access We really enjoyed our stay and if we come back to Salisbury we would have no hesitation booking again.

SALISBURY

The medieval city of Salisbury is the jewel in Wiltshire's crown, dominated by the majestic 13th century Gothic cathedral. The cathedral offers 750 years of history including Britain's tallest spire, the world's best preserved original Magna Carta, and Europe's oldest working clock. The surrounding cathedral close, full of architectural gems, is bordered by the River Avon and ancient Chilmark stone walls. The city offers historic streets with charming half-timbered buildings, traditional pubs, characterful shops and a twice-weekly market. Or, stroll along the Town Path and take in the awe-inspiring views across the water meadows towards the cathedral. After dark, there's a thriving arts scene, including one of the country's leading repertory theatres, a lively arts centre, cinema and a wealth of independent restaurants. Should you want to explore further afield then a short drive from Salisbury takes you to Stonehenge, the National Trust's Stourhead House and gardens, majestic Wilton House, as well as the New Forest National Park, and the Hampshire and Dorset coasts. There's so much to see and do in Salisbury and surrounding area that your only concern will be finding the time to do it all!

Please note the on street parking is for 1 car with a digital parking permit, which can be arranged with the owner ahead of your arrival.
