This beautiful cottage lies in the town of Bideford, home to a medieval bridge, town quay, quaint pannier market and vibrant shopping area.

Pillhead Cottage invites guests to the rural delights of the destination, benefiting from a shared outdoor swimming pool during the summer months.

Four steps from the parking area take you to a small patio and then inside to a lovely sun room, your own snug, wrapped in views of the garden, a chance to truly get away from it all.

In contrast, the lounge looks out over the landscape to the rear, featuring a picnic bench, with sheep and countryside beyond.

Close by, an all-white kitchen is freshly designed, a modern country addition to the cottage.

On the ground floor there is a bathroom with shower and Wash-Hand-Basin toilet.

And lastly, three bedrooms complete the interior, presented in a variety of styles for you and the children, all well-appointed for the fashionable family bathroom.

Situated on a working sheep farm, all the cottages share the grounds, a splendid outdoor heated swimming pool (15 x 30 x 4 to 5 deep) with paddling pool (10' x 9' x 1'6" deep), available from the Friday immediately preceding the last bank holiday in May to the first Friday in September, a sunbathing terrace (loungers) and mown orchard.

There is a short walk up the lane from Pillhead Cottage to access the shared areas and pool.

Bideford is an historic maritime town on the River Torridge in North Devon. There has been a settlement at Bideford for over a thousand years and it has been an important port throughout its history. Bideford is in a fantastic location to explore the surrounding area. It is just a few miles from Westward Ho!, which is dominated by two miles of spectacular coastline and proudly retains the prestigious Blue Flag award year upon year. Its sandy beach, backed by a unique pebble ridge, attracts visitors from all over the country and offers fantastic bathing and watersport activities. Just beyond the pebble ridge is Northam Burrows Country Park, which lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has 253 hectares of grassy coastal plain with salt marsh, sand dunes and grasslands.
