Our aim is to create lasting holiday memories and we intend to do so both responsibly and sustainably.
To deliver on this we've set out a number of environmental and social pledges which help to focus our efforts;

This is why we've partnered with Sustonica, the first global certification for holiday lets,
to support our owners to be more sustainable.
The Sustonica certification focuses on four key areas: energy conservation, water conservation,

"The property was very dirty especially the kitchen and bathroom."
The bathroom was extremely worn and had exposed cables on the ceiling from the light fitting. The bath and shower silicone were horrendous and there was mould everywhere. The kitchen sink was disgusting and filthy. The floors were covered in crumbs and generally very messy. In all honesty the whole flat needs a deep clean and refurbish to bring it up to standards expected based on the price you are charging

"A wonderful flat in a wonderful location BUT needs updating in the bathroom."
Basin takes a long time to run away. Shower screen and curtain not fit for purpose. Settee needed a wash which I did. The kitchen sink was stained and the bowl when I cleaned it made my cloth brown. The oven also needs a clean.

"This is constructive criticism of our stay in October 2024."
On arrival we couldn’t get the key to open the main door to the building. There was a scrappy bit of paper on the door saying the handle was broken and to use the Yale key. There was no handle. It was 5.40pm, we phoned Dream Cottages, it was closed but gave an emergency number. That number wasn’t answered, you had to leave a voicemail which they said was monitored. Nobody called back. We managed to get in after many attempts. The 5pm check in is too late as the letting agents are closed then. Most places check in is at 3pm.
We found no soap at the bathroom sink or hand towel. Only 1 partially used toilet roll. In the kitchen a tiny amount of liquid handwash, no kitchen roll or hand towel, and only 2 dishwasher tablets for 6 days.
The oven was very difficult to work even with the instructions left. We had to look on a YouTube video to get it working.
There is a large cream leather sofa in the lounge which is very grubby. As I sat on it it did its own thing and reclined and extended. It was impossible to put back. It meant that the back of the sofa was at an angle and not comfortable. The other chaise end of the sofa also moved out as I sat on it. Underneath the sofa was a lot of dust and dirt.
We did contact Dream Cottages about the missing front door handle and the lack of basic supplies. They said it was up to the owner what they provided. We didn’t have a car with us so a bulky shop involved a bus trip.
The following day a new door handle had been fitted which made getting in much easier.
This is a beautifully positioned flat that is let down by things that would not be expensive to provide.

"Sixth time here and booked again for next year."
Great location, with view across the sea which is yards away. short walk into Weymouth. The apartment has three bedrooms and large lounge and large screen TV/DVD.
Only small down side for elderly and that is the steep stairs leading upto the apartment. Take it slowly, otherwise great place to stay.

The baskets in the bathroom had to cleaned before use and the bottom one when removed had cob webs under it. I didn't clean that up. It's a lovely property that we have stayed in before and have booked again. It's such a shame that the cleaners are not doing their job properly.

"The apartment is on the first floor, idealy located."
With convinient parking, within walking distance to town. Perfect for our daily walk along the beach with a handy Caffè opposite and excellent views of the sea. Small problem with a switch, which was fixed the same day it was reported. We would stay again and happy to recommend.

Gorgeous flat so we'll equipped. The only thing I think you should know is the oven needs cleaning. I had to clean the cutlery basket on the draining board. Other than that it's lovely

"This was our 5th consecutive stay at Ocean Watch 5, and we are booked in for 2024."
The property is beautifully positioned. Sadly each year its let down by a few silly setbacks that take it from a five star to a four. We notice small things which if done before arrival it could make the stay perfect. Must admit some of the issue found were put right fairly quickly by the staff of Dream Cottages, so well done. The other small matters l don’t propose to air here because overall its a lovely holiday apartment.

"We loved the property and it looked like it had been redecorated and had new beds which were very comfortable and new carpets."
Needs new photos to reflect this as it was far better than photos made it look.
Downsides were 5pm check in is very late and we could hear people in other flats at times. Shame there is no outside space.
Upsides were good secure parking, location, view was lovely, comfort, facilities. We had a great stay.

Lovely light and airy feel to this apartment it's got everything you could possibly need for your stay. I have to say the shower is the best we've ever had in a holiday home great pressure and plenty of hot water. I've never slept so well not sure if it was the walking, sea air or the mattress and pillows, I don't sleep that well at home. The only down side was a week wasn't enough .....we will definitely be back.
