  • "The spacious cottage was very clean with a well equipped kitchen."

    The view from the cottage was beautiful and our boys enjoyed playing football in the large outside front garden. It is worth noting that this cottage doesn't have central heating and there are a couple of storage heaters (not sure if they were working though) and a couple of portable heaters which we felt wasn't enough for the whole cottage on cooler days. However, had the weather been better during our stay, I don't think we would've noticed this and there is an open fire in the lounge. Some additional lighting like a couple of lamps would also be beneficial in the lounge/dining area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the nearest beach is beautiful and only 1.5 miles away.

    Thank you for your feedback, we are so pleased you had a good stay with us. As you have noted, this cottage isn't listed as having central heating but does have storage heaters which do work. Heating is controlled by guests and what temperature is comfortable for you during your stay. The white glossy kitchen has everything you need with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.

Settle down at the dining table to tuck-into hearty meals; afterwards step into the sitting room; here you can unwind on the sofa and flicker through the TV.

On a summer's day, explore the lawned garden, which offers furniture and mature, shady trees ideal for relaxing.

As day draws to night, retire inside and climb upstairs where you can choose between a double and twin bedroom, both with storage to house your belongings.

Amidst beautiful countryside, close to the North Cornwall coast is Lee Barton Farm. Family run for generations, you're assured of a warm welcome. Explore the 10 acres of woods and grounds or relax with a picnic around one of the pretty wildlife ponds. The National Trust's Duckpool, a remote beach with rock pools overlooked by cliffs is just 2 miles by road or can be reached via a picturesque walk leading from the farm. Nearby Bude has two further excellent sandy beaches and a good selection of cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants.

Kilkhampton is an historic Cornish village, 4 miles from the popular Victorian seaside resort of Bude, one of Cornwall’s premier holiday locations. With its old church, village shops and atmospheric village pubs, Kilkhampton is a lovely place to relax after a hard day exploring the stunning beaches and spectacular coastal scenery for which the area is famous. Bude’s beaches attract surfers from all over the country and when conditions are right you’d be hard pushed to find better surf. When the tide is out, miles of golden sand and hundreds of rock pools keep visitors occupied for hours. The South West Coast Path, and many other rights-of-way winding over the clifftops and through lush green fields looking out over the sea, make this area a haven for walkers and lovers of the open countryside. For those who prefer staying closer to home, a good shopping centre and a selection of pubs, two clubs and restaurants are on offer. Bude canal, a registered nature reserve, passes through the town, and rowing a boat along its calm waters or walking the towpath among the beautiful (and friendly) water fowl that live among the reeds is a great way to spend an hour or two. Within the area there are also 2 golf courses, an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley at the leisure centre. A perfect location for all that North Cornwall has to offer.
