  • "Brilliant accommodation, excellent host, couldn't wish for a better place to stay."

    Everything is good quality, works and incredibly clean. Handy for beaches and many other attractions, loved it all so did our 2 black labrador retrievers, who were made very welcome.

Lampra Mill Cottage nestles in 14 acres of beautiful grounds, in glorious Cornish countryside, less than two miles from Poldhu Cove on the Lizard Peninsula.

This detached, renovated mill boasts spacious and characterful accommodation, with a long private driveway, guaranteeing tranquillity and seclusion!

The interior is very welcoming; the living room with woodburning fire and beams makes a divine spot for relaxation, with a dining area for foody get-togethers and patio doors opening onto the garden.

The kitchen has all the mod-cons and the ground floor shower room is conveniently placed for washing sandy toes.

The first floor offers two country-style bedrooms with rural views; a double with vanity wash basin and super-king bed with zip-and-link function and en-suite, plus a family bathroom.

Guests can enjoy the private grounds with an abundance of nature, wildlife and birdsong.

There is a babbling stream, green fields and woodland, with garden furniture for secret picnics and plenty of play space for children and dogs.

The Lizard Peninsula is a much-loved destination with charismatic fishing villages, beaches and coastal paths.

Discover scenic Mullion Cove, a working quay famed for historic tales of smuggling.

Poldhu Cove is a restful beach and Polurrian Beach is a favourite for its whitewater surf, reached by a scenic stroll along the cliffs or through a pretty valley.

Mullion village with shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, craft shops and art galleries is within a few minutes’ drive, ideal for provisions and a good browse.

Helston, the ancient market town famed for The Floral Dance is less than 4 miles.

MULLION

Helston 5 miles; Lizard Point 5.5 miles.

Mullion is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, five miles south of Helston and just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Mullion is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
