Find this charming cottage amidst several others perched next to the railway crossing, and park up in the ample parking space behind the cottage before heading in through the back door.

Make your way past the excellent utility room housing the washing machine before reaching the stunning, contemporary kitchen, boasting traditional style in the form of the exposed brick fireplace with a woodburning stove, alongside more modern features like the subway tiling and a dark grey fitted kitchen.

Make use of the excellent appliances in here to rustle up tasty meals for your loved ones to be enjoyed at the rustic timber dining table.

Local walks in the area can be enjoyed along the coast, with the Northumberland Coast Path running right through Belford, connecting you to Bamburgh where Bamburgh Castle lies.

Pay a visit to this imposing structure, towering 150 feet above the coast, it offers amazing sea views and a rich history to explore.

Bamburgh also has a pretty beach and is home to the RNLI Grace Darling Museum too.

Enjoy a day out visiting the beautiful Holy Island of Lindisfarne, inhabited in 635AD by Saint Aidan, you can marvel at Lindisfarne Castle, the ruins of Lindisfarne Priory and learn more about the history of the island at the Lindisfarne Heritage Centre.

Head further north up to England's most northerly town, Berwick-upon-Tweed, to walk the amazing Elizabethan walls, visit Berwick Castle, and see Berwick's Barracks too.

In the other direction is the charming market town of Alnwick, home to the famous Alnwick Garden comprising an expansive network of formal gardens, a huge central fountain, and even a restaurant in a treehouse, with a more recent addition being the Poison Garden!

The pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away. Belford itself is an old coaching village with a pleasant square and offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. It is ideally placed for exploring the Northumbrian Coastal Route, Cheviots, the renowned Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders. The opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from nearby Seahouses, is not to be missed. Alternatively check the tide times and cross to Holy Island to visit the historic Lindisfarne Priory.
