Resting peacefully in the heart of Churchstow, in the South Hams is this traditional Grade 2 listed thatched cottage, Furneaux Hatch.

Offering accommodation for up to four guests, this 16th Century property is best suited to couples or families seeking a scenic escape to South Devon.

Pass the pretty courtyard at the front of the cottage where you can sit out and enjoy your morning coffee beneath the sun before entering into the living/dining room to begin your relaxing retreat.

The living space benefits from both a rustic woodburning stove sitting in the inglenook in the sitting area, bringing a homely aura to the room as you enjoy all your self-catered meals, as well as a gas wood effect fire at the dining area end of the room, offering a welcoming warmth no matter where you choose to wind down in the evening.

The galley-style kitchen is well-equipped with all you could need during a self-catered stay; it even boasts both a washer/dryer and dishwasher to assist you, Also on the ground floor is the family shower room, where you can enjoy a warming shower after a day at the beach before heading up the staircase to find the two prettily presented bedrooms.

The two sleeping spots are made up of both a king-size and a twin room, both providing a homely interior and a soothing spot to rest after a day of adventure.
