"We had a lovely stay at Flintstone Cottage, it is in a great location in the heart of the village with a bus stop right outside."
The scones, jam and cream were much appreciated. The cottage was clean and had a very comfortable bed. We had a problem with the kettle during our stay which was rectified the same day so thank you to the owner and Sykes. The only problem we had was with moths, some days we were getting rid of up to about 20 but the next day there was more, we do feel this needs addressing.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you had a lovely stay. The previous carpet in the bedroom has been removed and replaced, we will ask our housekeeper to check for any moths when she is next at the property.

Hot taps in bathroom loose, curtain rail loose & slight damage to sofa front leg in saying that, a lovely week in a tastefully decorated, clean cottage with everything thought of. Thank you. Very good local pub with friendly people.

"Flintstone cottage was adorable."
The bed and sofa were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped . The shower was powerful. A lovely sized fridge freezer for our fortnight's stay.
However, a few things would have made our 2 weeks stay better.....
Clean bedding for the second week, the rotary washing line was broken and unusable, we did have a power cut and the torch provided was totally inadequate. There was no mop and cleaning materials provided.
Just these small things would have made our stay perfect, but on the whole we really enjoyed staying in your cottage, thank you

"The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the cottage was lovely."
The bathroom was a good size though there was a small leak coming from the pipework connecting the taps to the sink.
There were great views of the sea from the bedroom windows and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Loads of storage too.
A really cute cottage and nice to have the welcome pack of milk, scones, jam and cream. Much appreciated.
Lots of areas to sit outside at the front and good to have parking. As others reviews have mentioned it's quite difficult pulling out on to the road as you can't see what's coming.
The bus stop is just across the road.
Pendeen is very small and quiet but has all you need and was exactly what we were looking for.
Great location for walking SW coast path.
We had a lovely stay and couldn't fault the cottage.

"We’ve just come back from a week at Flintstone cottage."
The cottage was clean and comfortable. Nice area for walking and close for Penzance and st Ives. Nice 2 mile walk to the sea. Shower is not at all powerful, that was the only down side, although the property has a bee issue. We were hoovering daily and we had dead bees on the floor in the morning. We managed to remove them to outside when we saw them during the day.
Very good internet connection.
Food waste goes in a food waste bin and the recycled rubbish in a clear bag, and into the dustbin. There were no clear bags at the property for this, so we had to improvise.
I would stay there again.

"Our stay was great thank you, nothing we were left wanting for, everything was covered!"
We did struggle to find the property initially, would be my only constructive (if I can call it so) 'criticism', the sign was a little hard to see from the direction we approached. But that was minor!!
Really appreciated the scones and milk etc upon arrival. Lovely stay, cottage well furnished and equipped, good location, would stay again :))

"I would highly recommend a stay at Flintstone Cottage in Pendeen."
A beautiful cottage which date's back to 1820. The renovation to the cottage is in keeping with the style, the facilities are very modern with a bath and power shower the kitchen has everything you need to prepare food., The lounge has a flat screen TV with free view and fast WiFi.
You will not be disappointed with your stay the village is beautiful the neighbours are very friendly and there is a dog walking field just across the road.

"A lovely little cottage, especially the sitting room with nice furnishings and the bathroom."
Very clean which is much appreciated. Good wifi connection, lots of hot water, good kitchen, easy to park. The welcome scones, milk etc was a very nice touch. The location is very good for this lovely part of Cornwall.
Our only minor suggestions are some well attached hooks for clothes in the bathroom and vestibule and mention that the mattress has memory foam.

Small and compact but everything we needed. Very comfortable and clean. Location was superb. Opposite the dog field was very handy, spectacular views too. 3 very friendly local pubs, close to amenities and perfect place to explore a cracking part of Cornwall.
In fact, I think my husband and I have left a little bit of our heart back in Pendeen.
Would highly recommend.

"We had a lovely week at Flintstone Cottage."
It is ideally situated for visiting the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Lands End and Lizard peninsulas. Local to the cottage is a good pub and a useful mini supermarket. The cottage is situated on a main road, but it was not too busy or noisy (could be busier in peak season I guess) and pulling out of the drive took care. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. It is small but big enough for the two of us and our dog.

"Absolutely lovely cottage, very well stocked with all essentials & a lovely welcome pack (Thank you)."
Only drawback was the narrow stairway to the bedroom, difficult to get the cases up! Shower Head also needs a little TLC as it kept falling off the holder. I would recommend the cottage for a couple who like to get out & about.
Love the little garden at the front (we were blessed with good weather). Pendeen has lots to offer (3 pubs) & beautiful scenery if you walk to the Lighthouse. Central to most areas of interest.

"This property is very small but is adequate for 2 and nicely decorated."
The refrigerator is not quite big enough for those that like to get a few meals to have in, but ok for a couple of drinks, milk, butter etc. and there is a separate tiny freezer. The bed felt a bit lumpy and soft but that might be a matter of opinion, ie. We like firm mattresses. Great shower. We were pleasantly surprised with how well connected this cottage was with buses and things to do locally. In season every hour £5 all day Coaster bus or fast bus to Penzance. Fabulous.

"At the beginning of the welcome sheet says, ' our cottage is very old and the stairs are very steep' this combined with the bathroom being on the ground floor neither of which is mentioned in the information given prior to booking."
this would be importand the older person booking the cottage. We noted a previous comment about parking difficulties but carried on with the booking, the entrance is on a slight bend in the road which is on a bus route and very busy at certain times of the day you need a second person to guide you out. The village is friendly and the North Inn can be recommended.

"The existing online photo for Flintstone cottage needs updating as the driveway shown is now reduced for parking due to the inclusion of a shed, small fencing etc, and due to this, the off road parking mentioned is restricted."
Also very difficult to reverse onto the busy man main road without guidance due to blindspots from the wall. The cottage is well equipped although the fridge is VERY small. Unfortunately when we arrived the cottage had a very strong smell of cigarettes which stayed with us both downstairs and in the bedroom throughout our 7 night stay, which wasn't at all pleasant, and we can only assume the smell was left from the previous occupants (we know the smell wasn't from the use of the wood burner as we have one ourselves). Also feel the online description should state the cottage is only suitable for one small size dog only.

Well equipped and with nice touches.
However, the lounge was exceedingly cold and unbearable unless the fire was lit.
Thank you for leaving your feedback and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed Flintstone Cottage. The electric heating (by the wall under the stairs) should come on every day and is thermostatically controlled. It doesn't take long to heat up the small space. There are instructions for turning the thermostat up in the guest information folder at the property and it should be quite user friendly. We would have been pleased to help you with this had you contacted us during your stay.
