  • "The cottage was ideal for me and my dog."

The cottage itself was spacious, which meant there was plenty of room for my large young dog & I easily found room for his XL crate. Everywhere was clean and fresh. Kitchen was well appointed & there was everything I needed including space for dog bowls etc without them being trip hazards. Nice to have a jug of milk and some biscuits on arrival. The bed was extremely comfortable & there was plenty of hanging space and coathangers in the wardrobe. No bath, but the shower was great & plenty of towels and loo rolls. Tiled floors (apart from the bedroom) meant I didn't need to worry too much about him coming in after a walk round the garden. There is an outside tap if you need to wash off dogs or walking boots. The garden is very secure front and back, with the added bonus of access via the garden to the owner's field which has had a nice path mown around and across it, making it a super place for an evening pre-bedtime doggy stroll, or an early morning leg stretch. Fantastic views from the garden - I was lucky that the weather was superb so it was nice to sit on one of the patio chairs & take in the view. Even though daytime temperatures were in the mid-high 20's the cottage was airy with enough cool spots for the dog, & plenty of shade in the garden. If I was to say anything negative about the place, it would be that I found it a bit tricky to find initially, & the nearest pub isn't within walking distance (for me anyway!), otherwise a great place & I would have no hesitation in returning.
