  • "Cottage was in nice area but was cold and drafty splits in front door letting cold air in, heating only coming on for a set time, Not enough towels provided for a ten day stay nor did anyone come to offer any clean ones after a week, sink plug hole disgusting smell coming from it, very uncomfortable sofa and chairs in the living room."

this place is never worth paying over £1000 for a ten day stay. When looking for somewhere again in Yorkshire in will not touch this place with a barge pole.

We live on the premises and are there to help our guests if you needed new towel or the heating on full time why didn’t you come and ask for help if we don’t know we can’t offer any assistance the smell from the plug sometimes happens particularly when it is windy as it has a septic tank it occasionally happens in my house most people have found the cottage very cosy sorry that you haven’t Property Owner

The village of Egton is set in the heart of the North York Moors. With its pretty sandstone cottages, this charming village is famous for the annual Gooseberry and Agricultural shows held in August. Between them, the villages of Egton and Egton Bridge have four pubs, a shop and garage. Egton Bridge is one of Yorkshire’s prettiest villages, beautifully positioned on the River Esk in a steep sided valley. Visit the famous church of St Hedda with its painted ceiling, walk through the beautiful Arncliffe Woods, or explore the Old Mill and stepping-stones on the Esk. It is also well situated to explore the spectacular North York Moors, Whitby, and the many small fishing villages that dot this part of the coastline. A superb location for a relaxing break.
