  • "We found Conifers to be just what we wanted for our holiday."

    The beds were very comfortable, and there was lots of space for us. The kitchen was well stocked with lovely hot water for washing up. A lovely place to stay and use as a base for our adventures. The only thing that we didn’t like is that the heated towel rails in the bathrooms didn’t work. There was nowhere to dry damp towels. There was also a message in the arrival pack about leaving the fan on in the bathroom to avoid condensation. Being able to open the window would have helped, but quite a few of them were jammed shut ( painted in ). The heating instructions need to be much clearer to understand. The thermostat on the first floor had “ do not touch” written on it. We didn’t, is this why the towel rails didn’t work ? We were lucky that our period of staying at Conifers was quite warm. Also the carpet in the lounge was covered in dog hair. I hoovered it and it came up cleaner than how it was on our arrival. A good clean and polish generally wouldn’t go amiss. There was also conflicting info in the instruction pack about what to do with bedding and towels, place in the bag provided together or bedding in the bag and towels in the bath ? The instructions need to be clarified. But over all, a lovely place to stay, and would use again.

Conifers is an attractive, stone-fronted holiday cottage, located at the top end of Rock Road in North Cornwall.

A beautifully decorated and furnished self-catering property, Conifers offers well-proportioned and warm spaces, with under-floor heating and an open fire, ensuring a homely retreat at any time of year.

Hidden from the road by a thick hedge, the property has a lawned garden and plenty of parking space, along with four stylish bedrooms, accommodating eight guests, and two in the bunk beds.

Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen with its sleek cupboards and slate floor; chill out in the living areas with its deep sofas and cushions; and gaze out onto the countryside from the balcony of the master bedroom, which also has its own dressing area, whilst an unusually spacious family bathroom adds to the feeling of luxury and attention to detail.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
