  • "Broom cottage was really lovely."

    It's the best accommodation we've stayed in. Very well appointed, comfortable and homely. The downsides for us were the proximity of the donkey sanctuary (I don't like donkeys) the roads which were only one car wide, potholes and no onsite facilities like a shop or cafe. .

A spacious and semi-detached holiday bungalow situated on the quiet and ever-popular Stoneleigh Holiday Park, just three miles from Sidmouth on the beautiful south Devon coast.

This lovely property is all on the ground floor and has been thoughtfully designed with those looking for a comfortable and convenient break away in mind.

The bedrooms are especially spacious and offer flexible sleeping arrangements as one is a double and the other a twin, complete with a pull-out bed, perfect for a couple, a small family or friends.

The welcoming open plan living area is also an ideal space in which to socialise with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and a sitting room complete with lovely views across the shared lawn towards the rolling Devon countryside with views of the sea beyond.

To the front of the property you will find a shared lawned area with furniture, a relaxing spot in which you can dine alfresco whilst admiring the pastoral views with loved ones.

Just a few minutes’ walk away you’ll find the famous Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, where there is an excellent café, not to mention lots of gentle donkeys to interact with.

For those looking to discover a real hidden gem, walking the steep path through delightful National Trust land will reward you with the secluded Weston Mouth Beach.

Also close by is Sidmouth, home to many clean beaches, friendly shops, a beautiful esplanade and cliff-top walks with breathtaking views.

As well as a whole host of cheery pubs serving good food and local ales, other attractions well worth a visit are the Pecorama miniature railway park, the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve and if you should wish to venture further along the Jurassic Coast you’ll discover a number of cliffs filled with fossils and splendid sandy beaches.

With south Devon’s mild climate and stunning beaches just waiting to be explored, this bright and airy bungalow is the perfect base from which to enjoy a truly memorable holiday.

Sidmouth is an elegant seaside resort on the south Devon stretch of Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site of great natural beauty. Here is where the River Sid cuts through the Devon hills to meet the sea at Lyme Bay, creating a clean pebbly beach, giving way to golden sands at low tide backed by dramatic red cliffs creating a safe family beach with rockpools and safe bathing. Sidmouth is lined with stylish Regency cream-and-white architecture, creating an elegant Esplanade which makes for a relaxing stroll whilst looking out towards Beer Head. Sidmouth boasts one of the few public access observatories, the Norman Lockyer Observatory, complete with planetarium. There are a variety of attractions around Sidmouth including Pecorama with award-winning miniature railway and gardens, the Seaton tramway and the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve.
