  • "The cottage is beautiful and the location setting is perfect to escape the bustle of busy town life."

The wildlife provided hours of entertainment (didn’t notice there wasn’t wifi upon booking- however we didn’t miss it and the owners idea to aid digital detox was spot on) the neighbours came to visit three times a day - beautiful friendly horses! The house is roomy and well laid out, easily accommodated us as a family of 5. Lots of books, games and jigsaws to keep us entertained. The kitchen is well equipped, although the crockery could do with updating (a few pieces with cracks and chips) There was a very funky smell that possibly was coming from the bathroom sink…. The owners were quick to suggest ways to rectify it. Hopefully that will be resolved. It didn’t ruin our stay we just opened all the windows. The weather was kind to us and it was lovely to get the patio doors wide open bringing an extension of the lounge. Overall I’d absolutely recommend this cottage and it’s on our “return to” list. Secluded with lovely walks from the doorstep, only a 10 minute drive to the forest, or convenience shops.
