  • "We loved Beudy Dolpebyll."

It is a comfortable, well equipped and quirky cottage in a lovely peaceful location with plenty of outside space near the river. We stayed at the end of February and the cottage was a lovely warm place to come back to at the end of the day, after exploring the beautiful local area. We will definitely be back.

Thanks Neil and do come back any time of year is great! Property Owner

LLANGADFAN

Lake Vyrnwy 9 miles.

The small, traditional village of Llangadfan in Powys is an excellent central location for exploring all of Mid Wales and beyond into Snowdonia and Shropshire. Llangadfan boasts Glyndwrs Way footpaths and the Foel Ramble, a 4 mile walk overlooking the hills of Montgomeryshire and also it is close to the Cambrian and Berwyn mountain ranges where there is wonderful scenery in all directions. The village also has a shop/vintage tea room, and the Cann Office Hotel has a bar, restaurant and gardens and was formerly Cae ’n Fos, a medieval fortified camp on a bend on the River Banwy. There is lovely walking and horse riding in the nearby Dyfnant Forest, a remote 6000 acre forest on high ground which descends spectacularly down towards Lake Vyrnwy. The lake, with an 11 mile circumference, is a magnificent beauty spot which is famous throughout the UK for its scenic walks, cycle trails, and bird watching. The area is renowned for its green hills and mountains, castles such as medieval Powis Castle and gardens (National Trust), museums and the Montgomery Canal. Europe's leading eco-centre is situated at Machynlleth, the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) aims to "inspire, inform and enable people" to live more sustainably. This is a lovely part of Wales with something for everyone.
