  • "When we arrived we were shocked to discover that the third (twin) bedroom was accessed through the main bedroom."

No mention in the listing and no sign of this from the photos on the listing. We were travelling as three males and had booked the cottage due to location and three bedrooms. The owner asked us just after arriving if all was well and I explained about the room situation and all we received back was “You booked through VRBO and I’m listed with Sykes where it’s stated. We’ve had this issue before”. It wasn’t OK but what could we do and also if the owner has experienced this issue before why not do something about it and ensure that the listing for their property is accurate?! Suggests that they don’t want it to be accurate as it may affect bookings as we certainly wouldn’t have booked Bellamour End Cottage had we been aware!! Have asked Sykes for a response and have received nothing after a month. Made our stay awkward for the two people affected by the bedroom access. A real shame as otherwise the cottage is very comfortable, very well equipped (probably the best equipped kitchen I have experienced in a rental!) and spacious. Not overly quiet as located on the junction of a road that’s busy at all times…but still a shame about the bedroom access!!! Put a strain on the week away and made it uncomfortable for the two people affected, one having to pass through someone’s bedroom and the other having someone passing through
