  • "Location of cottage was good, very peaceful but the were no ‘Views’ from the cottage."

It is an old comfortable cottage with a modern rear extension, however the design meant there wasn’t a very comfortable dining area. The cottage was clean and simple but rather dark in the main room. The bath/shower room is ok though the shower cubicle was on the small side and the hand basin is tiny with a wall mounted cabinet above made using the basin very uncomfortable. There is a tiny rear garden with unattractive large tank partially concealed by a large blank wall. The small front well maintained garden feels too exposed to sit and enjoy a meal especially as it overlooks parked cars. The welcome pack was sweet, the cottage’s owner also presented us with beautiful homemade scones with all the cream tea accessories - just as we were sitting down to dinner on our penultimate evening.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts following your stay at the cottage. We're really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful location and appreciated the welcome pack and homemade scones. We’re disappointed to hear that certain aspects of the cottage didn’t quite meet your expectations. While the cottage doesn’t offer panoramic views, many guests have found the surrounding area and nearby walks to be full of natural beauty and charm. The cottage’s traditional character, combined with the modern extension, is something we’ve designed to balance comfort with authenticity. The bathroom fixtures are designed to make the most of the space available, we haven’t had any similar comments regarding this. The front garden, though more open, is often enjoyed by guests for morning coffee or a quiet read. Once again, thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re always striving to improve and ensure our guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner
